Absentee Ballots
All union members were allowed to request absentee ballots until June 14, 2018. The union members who requested an absentee ballot for the original election and runoff election were submitted to TrueBallot for an absentee to be mailed to their desired address. Due to delays in mail delivery, all members who requested absentee ballots have been given an extension until July 6, 2018 to return their ballots at the designated PO BOX address: PO BOX 1212, Washington, DC 20013. The actual PO BOX is located at 2 Massachusetts Avenue, NW, Washington DC 20013.
The committee will personally follow up with all members who properly requested an absentee ballots for either election to ensure that they received their ballots. Any member who properly requested a ballot and didn’t receive one, will be entered to receive a duplicate absentee ballot immediately.
The Election Committee is not accepting any new absentee ballot requests because the established deadlines have passed. The extension is only granted to members who met the originally established deadlines.

Dear Local 12 Members,
All candidates running for officer positions must receive a majority (greater than half) of Local 12 votes. Since no candidate for President or Executive Vice President met this threshold, the Local will hold a runoff election featuring the two candidates in each office who received the most votes on June 19th.
Run-off elections will be held on Tuesday, June 19, 2018, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Election Committee appreciates your participation and patience.
