Greetings Local 12 Sisters and Brothers,
Over the past few weeks and months I am sure you have heard the term Shared Services throughout the Department. The Shared Services Initiative is focused on the following areas: Human Resources, Information Technology, Procurement and Personnel Security. It will affect everyone in the Department in some way.
It is our goal to lessen the impact of the Shared Services Initiative when and if it is implemented. During a stewards meeting on Shared Services it was determined that we need to encourage you our members as much as possible to provide your inputs and ideas. With that being said the Department stood up the following governance structure and created a feedback collection strategy that included the following meetings, interviews and communication mechanisms in order to engage staff across the Department and collect information about the current state of Administrative services at the Department.
